EXCHANGE STUDENTS
Academic offer 2020-2021
The official teaching language at UFV is Spanish, although certain courses are taught in English. There is a limited number of places on those courses in English because they are much in demand: therefore, availability cannot be guaranteed.
Students who are not native Spanish speakers are requested to possess level B1 in Spanish in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (ECRFL). UFV does not require an official level certificate but it is supposed that students applying for an exchange do possess a level sufficient to follow classes in Spanish.
“Study Plan”: This is the academic offer for international students. If a subject does not appear in the Study Plan, this means it is noT available to international students, and therefore they cannot matriculate for it.
ATTENTION: SUBJECTS/COURSES FROM DIFFERENT AREAS CANNOT BE MIXED. Students must apply for courses in the areas for which they have signed an agreement with their home university.
It IS possible to choose subjects from different years (always within the same program).
“Syllabi”: for more detailed information about the courses, click on “Syllabi”. Go to the end of the page and click on “WHAT AM I GOING TO STUDY?”. The links to the subjects for each year (first, second, third and fourth) appear there, as well as the version in English when you click on “Syllabi”. Take into account that these Syllabi cover all the courses in the academic offer, including those in which international students cannot matriculate.
IMPORTANT: Pay close attention to the «term» in which the course is given:
1º = first term (September to January)
2º = second term (January to May)
COURSES FOR EXCHANGE STUDENTS ONLY: These are courses devised specifically for exchange students who come to Francisco de Vitoria University. They are taught only in English and are available to all international students in any area of study. In the “Study Plan”, they appear highlighted in bold or in red at the end of the first-year courses and may be selected by students from any year.
