Discover our new seminar: “Character Education through the Curriculum and Educational Leadership”!

On October 6, the Virtues and Values  Education Center (VEC) at Francisco de Vitoria University will hold a training conference titled “Character Education through the Curriculum and Educational Leadership.”

The event will bring together leading national and international experts in character education, who will share how they have transformed their schools through virtues and values.

We will be joined by María del Pilar Ponce Velasco, president of the Madrid Regional School Board, who will give a presentation entitled “The Benchmark School” on teacher leadership as a driver of change.

From Warwick School, Ben Miller will explain how they managed to improve behavior and academic results in a school in crisis; and James Barker, headmaster and member of the Warwick Schools Foundation, will address teacher development as the key to excellence in character education.

Furthermore, a panel discussion titled “Character Education in the Classroom: Educational Practices of Students from the UFV Master’s Program in Virtues Pedagogy” will be moderated by Nicole Haddad, Head of the School Department at CEV. Teachers Ignacio Lorenzo (Colegio Monte Tabor Schoenstatt), José González Gil (Stella Maris College), and Mercedes Fundió Muñoz (Stella Maris La Gavia) will participate and share how they apply character education in their classrooms.

The event will also include the workshop “Innovation tools applied to character education,” where Design Thinking and Lean Start-up methodologies will be applied to address the real challenges of character education.

This conference is a unique opportunity for those seeking to transform education through virtues, values, and educational leadership.
