Call for Papers: Educating for Moral Flourishing

The Virtue and Values Education Centre at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria is pleased to announce the conference Educating for Moral Flourishing, which will take place on 12–13 March 2026, here at our university.

How can education foster not only moral behavior, but also ethical and human flourishing? This interdisciplinary event invites participants to reflect on character formation from the perspectives of virtue ethics, moral psychology, justice, sociology, and theology.

We welcome contributions that enrich theoretical, practical, and experiential approaches to moral education in diverse cultural contexts, with a special emphasis on topics such as empathy, responsibility, forgiveness, restorative justice, and moral transformation.

Join this essential conversation as we rethink the role of education in building society.

Keynote speakers: Prof. James Arthur, Prof. Martín Echavarría, Prof. Mario de Caro, Prof. Glen Pettigrove, Prof. Carlos Granados, and Prof. Chiara Palazzolo.

Abstracts, between 300 and 500 words, must be sent before October 20 to the following addresses:
