The Faculty of Communication Sciences is committed to research focused on the individual that is capable of responding to the new challenges that arise in the different areas of knowledge.
An honest and rigorous approach to reality, the search for truth, and the contribution to the common good are the central principles on which both its lines of research and the stable research groups and scientific publications of its researchers are based.
This building houses six digital radio studios and four television studios dedicated to teaching, which are also available to students. The building is also equipped with classrooms and a sewing room that integrates the UFV's media resources.
We have the best university facilities in Europe at the Faculty of Communication Sciences: IMAC laboratories, design and advertising agency, photography and television studios, WACOM room, drawing workshop, engraving studio, fashion classroom, project classroom, radio studios, editing and post-production rooms, video game development laboratory…
The Faculty of Communication Sciences views the university as something that extends far beyond the classroom or study. Therefore, it offers multiple opportunities for interaction at each level to foster the holistic development of students. The Faculty's main mission is to build and consolidate a university community of people who seek truth, goodness and beauty, and who, through their training and leadership, promote the Christian transformation of society and culture.
Francisco de Vitoria University began its journey in the 1993-1994 academic year as an affiliated center of the Complutense University of Madrid, under the name Francisco de Vitoria University Center. In that same academic year, the Faculty of Communication Sciences was created, offering a degree in Journalism with the aim of becoming a leading center for its approach to communication science education focused on the individual. A few years later, it achieved full accreditation as a private university through Law 7/2001 of July 3, which granted full official recognition to all of its degree programs. In the 2003-2004 academic year, the affiliated center became Francisco de Vitoria University and began offering its official degree programs, which it continues to do today.
From 2008 onwards, the existing degrees at the Faculty (Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Fine Arts and Design) were adapted to the EHEA as Bachelor's Degrees.
