Choose the learning experience that best fits your goals. Spanish Track: Study the entire programme in Spanish. English Track: Complete your first two years entirely in English before continuing in Spanish during the final two years, while still taking selected subjects in English. Admission to the English Track requires passing the University's English-language admission assessment and demonstrating a minimum C1 level of English.

You'll have access to 700 m² of teaching laboratories and 300 m² of dedicated research facilities, working alongside 15 specialist research groups in fields such as oncology, gene and cell therapy, neuroscience and molecular biology. From your first year, you'll use industry-standard technology and gain practical experience in an environment that bridges biomedical research and clinical practice.

Biomedical science is learned by doing. Throughout your degree, you'll complete more than 500 hours of practical laboratory training in small groups before undertaking compulsory placements in leading hospitals, research institutes and biotechnology companies. You'll also benefit from collaborations with internationally recognised institutions such as Harvard, Imperial College London and Mount Sinai, giving you valuable insight into the realities of biomedical research at the highest level.

Develop the practical skills employers and research institutions are looking for. You'll work in specialised laboratories dedicated to cell culture, advanced microscopy and histopathology while building clinical and technical skills in UFV's Advanced Clinical Simulation Centre. This practical, hands-on approach allows you to develop confidence in a safe environment before entering professional practice.

Take your scientific training to the next level through the Diploma in Applied Bioscience or the Diploma in Advanced Scientific Research Methodologies. You'll learn how to design research projects, apply advanced experimental techniques and generate scientific knowledge with the rigour, innovation and critical thinking demanded by today's biomedical sector.
