The Level Up student organization was founded with a clear vision: to communicate the values of the UFV Mission by building a community around a cultural medium such as video games. Level Up is not just about playing video games; it is much more than that—it is about understanding a medium with the power to foster social and cultural communication as yet another way for students to participate in the UFV Mission. The connection to the Mission is clear: it is about creating an environment—a breeding ground—where students can discover their abilities beyond the academic realm and connect with other students at the university who share similar interests. It can be a place where each student’s personal and social discovery takes them beyond the mere acquisition of academic knowledge. It leads them to the discovery of true values and to putting those values into practice—in short, a place where they can grow as individuals and become active agents for the Christian transformation of society and culture.
What events do we organize?
We organize activities focused (eventos) on the analysis and practice of video game development, combining training with active student participation. We also carry out educational projects and activities (talleres, game session, y charlas con profesionales), as well as charity competitions, tournaments, and internal or external leagues, in which students work in teams representing the university. Finally, we involve the most interested students in development projects with real clients through our video game studio. These activities foster a competitive, creative, and collaborative environment, linked to the various disciplines involved in video game development.
