UFV EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS' NIGHT 2025 ACTIVITIES
VAP, immersive experience through art
Exhibition from September 15 to 29 in the K Building Hall (Faculty of Communication).
Round table at the K Building Hall with experts on Friday, September 26 at 12:00 h.
VAP is an immersive installation inspired by the work of artist Javier Riera, known for projecting geometric forms of light onto natural environments. Through this proposal, the visitor enters a virtual reality experience that combines art, technology and landscape, revealing visual connections between geometry and the natural world. An invitation to perceive the environment from a new aesthetic and sensory dimension.

Art for prevention: a university exhibition on mental health
Exhibition in the windows of the Square from September 19 to 29, 2025.
Round table at the DOT UFV space on Wednesday, September 24, at 12 noon.
Art exhibition in the Square of the UFV, made by students of Fine Arts and Design after a seminar on mental health. Through visual panels, they address disorders such as TCA, anxiety, depression or suicide, with an informative, preventive and empathetic approach.
The works combine illustration, typography and color to represent different psychological profiles and encourage dialogue.

3D virtual fashion and fabric simulation
Wednesday 24, from 12:00 to 3:00 pm
Practical workshop on digital fashion design with CLO3D, in which attendees will explore virtual pattern making and fabric simulation in three-dimensional environments. An opportunity to discover how to create garments with realistic textures and shape your creativity in the 3D world.

Catwalk Emerges 'Mitos del Hilo''
Wednesday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m
Fashion show carried out in the framework of the ANDRÓMEDA project (PHS-2024/PH-HUM-76), linked to the group Innovation and Image Analysis (IAI) of the UFV. It will be presented designs made by students of the degrees in Design and Fine Arts, inspired by the theme “Mitos del Hilo'”. The proposal explores the image, the body and identity from a critical and creative point of view.

Legends and Video Games
Friday, September 29th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
This creative experience transfers Spanish medieval legends to the language of videogames, giving rise to a visual narrative with epic and digital overtones. The story revolves around a heroine, and is nourished by fantastic iconography: legendary weapons, mythological creatures and combat costumes.

Design your fighting character
Friday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
An introductory workshop to character design for video games, where the basics of visual storytelling, aesthetic development and combat mechanics will be explored. Participants will learn how to bring their own characters to life through practical exercises and professional tools.

Food markets and neighborhood dynamism: the case of Villaverde
Friday, September 29th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
We will explore the district of Villaverde through an itinerary through key spaces that show how food markets, food innovation and public policies contribute to redefine the social and economic fabric of neighborhoods.
Tour:
4:00 p.m. – Meeting point at the Mercado de Villaverde Alto.
We will meet with the management team and traders to learn about the transformation process of the market, its new model of integrated management and the role of neighborhood relations in its revitalization.

A pioneering space in gastronomic innovation, where the role of food as a strategic axis in municipal policies and the promotion of entrepreneurial projects will be discussed.
6:00 p.m. – Tour of La Nave.
We will enter one of the main centers of urban innovation in Madrid, where startups, emerging technologies and collaborative methodologies promote new forms of city (transfer by private minibus).
7:00 p.m. – Return to the market.
Observation of commercial activity in the afternoon, a key moment to understand the dynamism of the market and its interaction with the life of the neighborhood (transfer by private minibus).
The activity will have the participation of specialists in sustainability and markets of the Chair of Sustainable Markets UFV – Madrid City Council, experts in social impact, as well as professionals in education, social work and participatory urbanism of Vivero de Iniciativas Ciudadanas.

Gastronomy 360: Culinary innovation in the face of food waste

A gastronomic experience developed together with Le Cordon Bleu that invites us to reflect on the food of the future. This activity combines culinary innovation, sustainability and wellness in each proposal, offering a creative and conscious vision of how and what we eat.
