LEADERSHIP EDUCATION INSTITUTE

The Institute for Leadership Education’s fundamental purpose is to propose to the world a new way of understanding and living leadership. To this end, it develops research, teaching and dissemination activities in the areas of leadership, character formation and leadership assessment, both in educational and professional contexts. Its work is articulated through the work of the Leadership Education Research Group (GEIN) and collaboration with national and international institutions

The mission of the Leadership Institute is to train, research and evaluate leadership in educational and professional contexts from an ethical and humanistic perspective, generating rigorous knowledge and training proposals that contribute to the integral development of people and organizations

VISION

The Leadership Institute seeks to become an international reference in applied research on leadership education, developing innovative formative and evaluative models for educational institutions and professional organizations

ORIGIN

The Leadership Institute arises as a natural evolution of the work developed by the Leadership Education Research Group (GEIN). In order to consolidate its lines of research, expand its academic impact and extend its projects to new audiences such as students, teachers, managers and professionals, the Institute formalizes and articulates a growing trajectory of scientific production, educational innovation and specialized evaluation in leadership in higher education

Research

The Institute’s research is structured along three strategic lines:

Leadership education - Didactics

It studies the fundamentals, methods and strategies for teaching leadership in higher education, developing and evaluating didactic models that allow the formation of leaders with criteria, analytical skills and abilities to positively influence their environment.

Character development - Virtues

Analyzes the development of virtues and character in students and professionals as a basis for ethical leadership, coherent and oriented to the common good, designing and validating training proposals inspired by the personalist philosophy.

Leadership assessment - Evaluation

Develops instruments, methodologies and criteria to measure leadership in educational and professional contexts, including evaluation models based on competencies, virtues, performance tasks and diagnostic tools adapted to real situations.

The Institute offers services oriented to educational institutions, professional organizations and academic networks, with the purpose of transferring knowledge, accompanying development processes and promoting ethical and grounded leadership practices. – Leadership assessment services, through scientific instruments, performance tasks and competency diagnostics. – Training and support services for universities, schools, professional organizations and companies. – Services to the university network, including educational leadership consulting and inter-institutional collaboration. – Specialized programs for external institutions, tailored to specific training needs in leadership and virtues.
