In a context marked by complex social challenges and a growing need for civic engagement, social action within the university setting emerges as a key driver of transformation. Initiatives that promote empathy, inclusion, and active participation enable students to connect their academic education with the most pressing social issues, generating a direct impact on their community and fostering a critical awareness that extends beyond the classroom.
The Student Association Volunteering for Social Action (VAS) at Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) has kicked off its 2025–2026 programme and awareness-raising programme with an outing dedicated to supporting children with Rett syndrome.
The event brought together students and members of the university community who have expressed an interest in learning about and supporting children with this neurological condition, which is considered rare.
