Strategy, results and reporting

Our Quality System ensures that all applicable laws and regulations are fully complied with, and that the highest standards of rigor are maintained throughout the academic system. Our primary objective is to ensure that the academic results are supported by a commitment to excellence in the University Degrees and University Master's Degrees. We guarantee academic quality in the following way.

Research Activity and Other Results

RESULTS OF RESEARCH ACTIVITY 2024  

  • 507 publications indexed in Web Of Science (WOS), of which 286 have been published in Q1 journals (56.4%) and 334 were published in Open Access (65.9%).  
  • 585 publications indexed in SCOPUS, of which 323 have been published in Q1 journals (55.2%) and 411 were published in Open Access (70.3%).  
  • 28 externally funded research projects.  
  • 201 book chapters and 33 books published.  
  • new patent applications: 1 European, 1 European and International and 1 national. In addition, 2 new patents have been granted, which join the 3 active patents with UFV participation. 
  • 14 PhD theses in the International PhD School: 11 in the Biotechnology, Medicine and Biosanitary Sciences program, and 3 in the Humanities program: History, Philosophy and Aesthetics. All 14 theses were graded with outstanding and 11 of them also obtained a cum laude mention.
  • grants for University Teacher Training (FPU) funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities; and 1 grants for the Training of Predoctoral Research Personnel (FPI) funded by the State Research Agency (AEI).

  • 101 research projects funded by the UFV.  
  • 30 UFV grants for international mobility for research.  
  • 170 UFV grants for conference attendance.  
  • 266 UFV prizes awarded for scientific publications of impact.
