Pablo López Raso, professor of Contemporary Art at the Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV), academic director of the Bachelor’s programs in Fine Arts Design, and an expert in the history and philosophy of contemporary art, has been honored with a special mention at the 7th edition of the Razón Abierta Awards, organized by UFV in collaboration with the Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI Vatican Foundation.
The award recognizes his work Insolente belleza, in which he explores the aesthetic experience as a path to knowledge and personal transformation that transcends the merely intellectual. In his remarks upon receiving the award in Rome, López Raso stated that he felt “fortunate for this recognition, which I accept as an encouragement to continue thriving in the mission to which our faith calls us.”
During his speech, the professor emphasized that true innovation in education does not consist solely of producing new theories or discoveries, but rather of sparking young people’s curiosity and awakening in them a desire for meaning: “There is no greater discovery for humanity than knowing how to unleash a teenager’s talent,” he noted.
