BUDDY PROGRAM 2025-2026

Discover the world at UFV! If you are a foreign student coming for an Erasmus+ or bilateral exchange stay, this is your opportunity to integrate and live a unique experience.

We know that arriving in a new country can be challenging. Everything is unknown: the environment, the culture, the people. How to move around? Who to interact with? What to do so that you are not limited to being with people from your own country?

At UFV we have students who have an incredible international vocation: they are passionate about meeting people from other countries, listening to new languages and making friends from different cultures.

This is where the Buddy Program comes into play, created to connect international and local students. Our goal is to help both groups meet their needs and concerns.

What does the program consist of?

On the one hand, we pair up buddies, with a local and an international UFV student, facilitating friendships. The local buddy takes care of the new buddy’s basic needs: accommodation, registration, public transportation and, above all, support during the initial landing in Madrid.

On the other hand, we organize spaces for all those enrolled in the program to get to know each other better: meals on campus, cultural activities in Madrid, day trips to Spanish cities, weekends together and more. These activities create bonds and enrich the experience of all participants.

At UFV, we believe that diversity enriches our lives.

Join the Buddy Program and be part of this amazing international community!

For these activities ECTS will also be awarded, changing the number depending on the nature and duration of the activity.

Although the totality of the voluntary activities of the 22nd semester of the academic year 2025-2026 will be published on January 10 , you can already book the Saturday, January 17, that we will make a first excursion with all the participants of the program.

Take the opportunity to meet people from all over the world!
