Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) will hold the 8th International Congress on Nursing Research, Education, and Development on April 22, 23, and 24, 2026, organized by the Bachelor's Degree Nursing under the theme “Moving Toward New Horizons: Nursing 2060”.
This conference was created with the aim of promoting and highlighting research, innovation, and leadership among nursing professionals, both nationally and internationally. Over the course of three days, the event will provide an opportunity to present new ideas and strategies for nursing practice, as well as to share experiences across various care settings and educational levels.
The 2026 edition will address some of the key challenges and opportunities shaping the present and future of the profession, with a particular focus on advanced practice nursing, school nursing, artificial intelligence, clinical simulation, entrepreneurship, and nursing leadership, as well as the profession’s response to the challenges of today’s reality.
The conference will feature a scientific committee composed of leading professionals from the clinical, academic, and research fields, representing leading national and international institutions. Furthermore, it is designed as a forum aimed at fostering participation, the exchange of knowledge, and collaboration among researchers and nursing professionals.
Among the most prominent participants in this edition are Elena Fernández Cano, Director of Care at the Madrid Health Service; Frank Guido Sanz, Associate Dean of Simulation Education and Research at the University of Miami’s School of Nursing and Health Studies; Vicente Arráez, from the Metta Foundation; María José de Dios, full professor at the University of Valladolid; and Alejandro Pérez-Ochoa Real, a leader in social innovation.
