SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID

The 2025-2026 call for scholarships is now closed.

ANNUAL EXCELLENCE AWARD

Award intended for students who have completed at least one full academic year at UFV and who, not being beneficiaries of other academic scholarships, demonstrate an outstanding academic record every year.

The call for applications is 25 scholarships of 50% on the cost of the monthly fees (not including, therefore, the initial payment of tuition). The University Degree in Medicine is excluded from this call.

The distribution of the scholarships will be as follows:

Faculty of Communication Sciences: 4 scholarships.
Faculty of Experimental Sciences: 3 scholarships.
Faculty of Health Sciences: 4 scholarships.
Faculty of Law, Business and Government: 6 scholarships.
Faculty of Education and Psychology: 3 scholarships.
Faculty of Higher Polytechnic School: 4 scholarships.
Faculty of Medicine: 1 scholarship (applies only to the Uniersity Degree in Dentistry).

Application period

Single call from June 1 to June 10, 2025 (both included).

Award criteria

In order to obtain it, it will be essential to pass all the subjects in ordinary exams and to obtain a minimum weighted average grade of 8.5 points in Dentistry, University Dual Degree or in University Degrees of the Faculty of Experimental Sciences and the Higher Polytechnic School (Architecture, Engineering…) and of 9.00 points for the rest of the university degrees .

They will be awarded in order of the weighted average grade (including the own university degrees, if applicable).

In addition to the academic grade, the economic need demonstrated (which will require the presentation of the family unit’s IRPF 2024 tax return) will be included as an element of evaluation so that, in the event that there are more candidates than vacancies, the award will be made on the basis of both parameters (academic and economic).

In the event that two candidates occupy the same position after academic and economic evaluation, the condition of disabled person may be taken into account, if this condition is accredited in one of them.

If, even so, the equality of merits and circumstances persists, the number of credits obtained with honors will be taken into account.

Always respecting the criteria described above, the awarding of this scholarship will prevail in those students enrolled in a minimum of 60 credits or what is considered by university regulations as a complete academic year.

The positive reports that the SAE may obtain from the corresponding degree or double degree departments will be taken into account in case of a tie.

If there are no awards in one of the Faculties, the Student Aid Service has the power to distribute them among the students who, fulfilling the requirements, have applied for a degree or double degree of another Faculty.

The Annual Excellence Award will be granted for one academic year. In order to be eligible for subsequent years, students must reapply and meet the established criteria.

It can be applied for from the 2nd year to the last year of the university degree.
