If you have begun your studies at a foreign university and have completed less than 50% of the programme, you may request a preliminary assessment of potential credit recognition.
To do so, please send the required documentation via WeTransfer to admisioninternacional@ufv.es (translated into Spanish where applicable).
Once we receive your documentation, the Admissions team will verify that it is complete and that you meet the relevant requirements. You will then receive a non-binding report indicating which modules may be eligible for recognition. The report will also outline your legal route of access and explain how to continue with the admission process.
If you finally enrol at UFV, you must officially request recognition of your studies in person at the Registration Office. To do so, you will need to download and complete the application form and submit all official academic documentation, duly legalized in accordance with current regulations. In addition, you must attach the grade point average equivalence statement, which can be obtained from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP) website.
If you wish to apply for a scholarship, you must first reserve your place. The scholarship application process is separate from admission and enrolment and can be managed through the Candidate Portal.

The University has a team of academic advisors who deliver guidance sessions and workshops in secondary schools and universities. If you would like us to visit your school, or if you are interested in organising a visit to our campus, please contact e.glezmesa@ufv.es.
Our individual career guidance session supports students as they make decisions about their professional future. The aim is to help each student gain a deeper understanding of their profile and reflect on their strengths, interests and aspirations.
We use the standardised EXPLORA assessment developed by Ediciones TEA, which provides detailed insight into each student’s skills, knowledge, abilities, values and interests. This is complemented by an activity workbook designed by UFV’s Guidance Department.
During the session, the advisor will review and interpret the results, offering structured feedback to support informed decision-making and address any questions. This initial session lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
Students may then request a second session focused on specific Bachelor’s Degree programmes of interest. This part is led by degree advisors, who provide detailed information on modules, placements and career opportunities.

We understand that arriving in a new country or starting at a new university can feel challenging and, at times, overwhelming. UFV for Beginners is designed to make this transition smoother and more meaningful. From your first day, you will feel supported while meeting students from different Bachelor’s Degrees through cultural activities and interactive sessions.
Sessions take place weekly throughout September. From October onwards, meetings are held every two weeks, and in December there will be a special Christmas event.

Payment will be made by bank card via POS terminal. During the process, it is important that when the student enters their mobile phone number, they include the international prefix, as the system sends a security confirmation message to the phone. This amount is separate from the tuition fee and cannot be deducted from any other payment. It will only be refunded in two cases: failure to pass high school or visa denial, in both cases documentation is required.
It is essential to have a Spanish bank account. International Admissions will put students in contact with a specialist agent who can help them with this process.
At UFV, we offer the Academic Excellence Scholarship, which awards financial aid to students who have obtained an average grade of 8 or higher on their final Spanish university entrance exam (homologación, Credencial UNED). This scholarship can be applied for after being admitted and having formalized the reservation of a place, and it is applied to the remaining amount after formalizing the payment of tuition. International students must have sufficient funds to pay for their studies at UFV and live in Madrid, regardless of whether we can grant them recognition for their academic excellence. Unfortunately, we do not have financial aid for students who do not have legal residence in Spain.
There is a university residence hall on the UFV campus with its own independent admission process. In addition, International Admissions will put students in touch with a specialized agent who can help them with this process.
The only start date for the course is in September; it is not possible to start the course in January. All relevant information for students can be found at the following link.

All non-Spanish-speaking students whose Spanish level is B1 must take a compulsory course taught by UFV during their first year in order to reach level B2 by the end of the course. The approximate cost is €500, which will be charged to the bank account provided by the student at the time of enrollment.
