The Library of Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) participated in the event organized by EBSCO in Monreal (Palermo) on June 11, where representatives from various university libraries gathered to present the latest developments in library management, artificial intelligence, and electronic databases.
EBSCO is a leading U.S. company that provides information services, online search tools, and databases to libraries, academic institutions, corporations, and government organizations.
At the event, Luis López, from the UFV Library, presented the #BUFV’s experience with the FOLIO platform, a library management tool for managing electronic resources. López noted that UFV was one of the first universities in Spain to adopt this tool, which has facilitated the acquisition and organization of the library’s databases, books, and journals.
The FOLIO platform, in particular, has attracted attention due to its advanced capabilities for managing library resources. This tool enables better integration of different types of materials, optimizing management and facilitating access to information for users.
The event served as a gathering place for university libraries from around the world, fostering an exchange of ideas and best practices that contribute to the advancement of the sector. UFV’s participation in this international meeting reaffirms its commitment to innovation and the continuous improvement of its library services.
