The European Documentation Center at the Library at theFrancisco de Vitoria University (UFV) participated in the annual meeting of #EuropeDirect centers in Spain, held in the Europa Room at the European Commission Representation in Madrid from September 30 to October 1.

During the two-day meeting, the team from the European Documentation Center shared experiences and worked together with other #EuropeDirect centers to improve their services and processes. The sessions addressed key topics such as the implementation of Next Generation EU funds, the operation of the SOLVIT network for resolving cross-border issues, and the challenges in the fight against disinformation in Europe.
The event provided an opportunity to learn firsthand about the priorities of the new European Commission for 2024–2029. It also served as an opportunity to take stock of the initiatives carried out in 2023, reviewing the achievements made and the challenges that remain. In addition, the event focused on optimizing the work of the #EuropeDirect centers and strengthening their impact at the national level.
The participation of the UFV European Documentation Center in this meeting is essential for strengthening ties with the #EuropeDirect network in Spain, as it allows the university to align its efforts with European strategies, facilitating access to EU resources and promoting awareness of key European Union issues.
