The Institute of Bioethics and the Razón Abierta Institute at Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV), in collaboration with the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and Human Rights, organized the international seminar “An Interreligious and Multicultural Perspective on The Nature of Medicine and the Role of Physicians”, which was held last December at UFV.
The event examined the role of the physician in medicine and society from a perspective that primarily integrates Christian, Muslim, and Jewish traditions, although the role of the physician in other cultures, such as Hindu culture, was also analyzed. This interfaith and multicultural approach aims to provide a comprehensive and enriched perspective on the role of the physician and their relationship to ethical challenges in professional practice.
