College years leave us with many memories, but also with questions that sometimes stay with us long after we graduate: questions about suffering, freedom, love, God, death, or the meaning of life.
This semester, Tardeo Newman aims to revisit those big questions and share them in a relaxed setting. One afternoon a month, beer in hand, UFV Alumni and the John Henry Newman Institute will bring together former students and leading figures from the world of culture to discuss some of the major themes of our existence.
The first event will focus on suffering and will feature writer Pedro Simón:
Life doesn't always go the way we imagined. Sometimes, the unexpected changes our plans.
At this Tardeo Newman event, we’ll be chatting with Pedro Simón, writer and author of Lo inesperado. An afternoon to chat, share, and reflect on life and its unexpected twists and turns, in a relaxed atmosphere with light snacks and drinks.
