On February 11, Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) celebrated World Radio Day with a conference titled “Renewal and Listening: Entrepreneurship and New Audio Formats”, organized by Mirada 21 Media Lab, the media lab of the School of Communication Sciences.
The event brought together practicing professionals, alumni of the School of Communication, and current students for an initiative aimed at analyzing the evolution of radio language in the digital environment and reflecting on the career opportunities offered by new audio formats. The program included a radio and television special, as well as two roundtable discussions broadcast live on the Mirada 21 Media Lab YouTube channel.
Beyond the sector analysis, the event gave students the opportunity to interact directly with working journalists, gain firsthand insight into the real dynamics of the job market, and build connections that could prove crucial for their future careers. Initiatives like this reinforce UFV’s educational model, which is based on hands-on learning and constant interaction with the industry.
