Who is responsible for processing your data? The Francisco de Vitoria University Foundation (en adelante la FUFV o UFV), located at Ctra. For what purposes will we process your personal data, and on what legal basis? At UFV, we will process your personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal bases
Main Purpose To manage your participation in the admission tests; and, where applicable, to carry out the necessary procedures related to the requested admission: to process and evaluate the admission application and the requested documentation; to perform the administrative procedures to verify compliance with the requirements; to notify the data subject whether the application has been accepted or rejected; and to send the data subject any type of communication related to the admission process and their application. Other Purposes To provide the data subject with information, by any means, including electronic means, regarding the degree programs offered by FUFV. Legal Basis Consent of the data subject.
Other Purposes To send invitations to educational, teaching, sports, cultural, and extracurricular activities, as well as information on scholarships, volunteer opportunities, and promotional events that may organise FUFV. Legal Basis Consent of the data subject.

How long will we retain personal data? The data subject’s personal data will be retained for as long as the purposes and legitimate grounds for processing remain valid and for the periods required by law to comply with obligations and address potential liabilities. Please note that:
- Data processing based on the consent given by the data subject will be retained for as long as necessary for the intended purpose and as long as the data subject does not revoke their consent or object to the processing.
- Data processing based on legitimate interest: Personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purpose and as long as the data subject does not object to the processing.
- Processing related to the performance of a contract or preliminary contract: for the duration of the contractual relationship with FUFV.
- Once these have been completed, for the periods specified in current regulations and for as long as a judge or court may require them. In the event of unpaid bills, for as long as FUFV is able to collect that debt.
To whom will your data be disclosed? The data subject’s personal data may be disclosed to partner entities. Similarly, based on the legal obligation to comply with legal requirements, the data subject’s personal data may be disclosed to public administrations, courts, and tribunals with jurisdiction over the matter for purposes of monitoring, record-keeping, and inspection. UFV works with various application and IT support providers who may access personal data in the course of performing their contractual obligations. FUFV will always have a data access agreement in place with these providers in accordance with the requirements of Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation, which will provide sufficient safeguards for the processing carried out by these providers. Some of the providers are located outside the territory of the European Union; therefore, FUFV requires additional safeguards, in accordance with the provisions governing international transfers set forth in the General Data Protection Regulation.
What are your rights regarding data processing? The Data Subject may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling. Likewise, the Data Subject may withdraw the consent granted for data processing without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal with respect to all processing authorized and consented to by checking the box on the corresponding forms. Update to This Policy FUFV reserves the right to modify this Policy unilaterally, in whole or in part, in order to adapt it to new legislation, case law, industry best practices, or changes in data processing.
