On November 19, 2026, Francisco de Vitoria University will host the public presentation of a book dedicated to Francisco de Vitoria and the intellectual legacy of the School of Salamanca, at an event aimed specifically at students, faculty, and members of the university community.
The event will take the form of a conversation between the writer Lorenzo Silva and Victoria Hernández, director of the UFV’s Humanities Bachelor's Degree , and will be moderated by Ana del Valle, dean of the School of Communication Sciences.
Beyond the presentation of the work, the event aims to create a space for conversation and reflection on the major humanistic questions raised by the book and their relationship to the thought of Francisco de Vitoria. It is an opportunity to bring his legacy to new generations and to discover the enduring relevance of questions related to human dignity, freedom, justice, and the common good.
The event is designed to encourage, in particular, the participation of students and faculty from various degree programs, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue centered on one of the major figures in the intellectual tradition that gives the university its name.
The event is organized by Editorial UFV, in coordination with the UFV Store and Ediciones Destino (Grupo Planeta). Copies of the book will be available for purchase during the event, and sales will continue afterward through the university’s usual channels.
