UFV undergraduate medical students who, in academic years prior to 2026–2027, were recipients of the Academic Excellence Scholarship may renew it provided that: they expressly apply for it in a timely and proper manner; they pass all courses in which they were enrolled during the previous academic year during either the regular or make-up exam periods; and they achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 8.00 points. The scholarship percentage will be the same as that awarded in their first year.
All courses, including those from Own University Degree, if applicable, will be taken into account when calculating the weighted grade point average.
Scholarships for students with outstanding academic records may be applied for in all academic years except the final year of each degree program. For this final year, students may apply for an “Honor Loan,” which will cover any financial need they may have and, in turn, requires the student to repay the loan under the terms agreed upon by both parties.
If you are unable to renew this scholarship due to failing grades or not achieving the required grade point average, you have the option of regaining it in the following academic year if you meet the established criteria and provided that it is not the final year of Bachelor's Degree fo_img). This option is available only once during the duration of Bachelor's Degree.
This scholarship cannot be applied for if it was not obtained in the first year of the degree program.
Failure to apply for renewal within the specified time frame shall be understood as a waiver of the same.
