Collection and Acquisitions

The Library is responsible for purchasing and subscribing to all bibliographic and documentary material requested by any member of the university community, whether in digital or paper format.

When the acquisition is requested as part of a research project, the Library will contact the Vice-Rectorate for Research to manage it. When preparing teaching guides, a link to VITA is included to request the acquisition of library resources.

All library users can request or suggest the purchase of materials through VITA Library/Acquisitions.

The bibliographic reference service can be accessed from the loan counters. Including:

The location of the various library collections, opening hours, regulations, etc. Help in using the collections and information resources and accessing them through the catalog.

In addition, the Research Assistance Service offers a bibliographic and information search service. To request this service, go to VITA Library/Research Assistance.

The Library has a collection of over 98,000 books and more than 400 magazines.

The digital collection includes more than 160,000 monographs, 74 journal titles, and 27 databases.

Welcome to the collection of unique books at the Francisco de Vitoria University Library!

We have a privileged collection of items donated by prominent figures and institutions from different fields of knowledge.

Many of them are linked to the origins and history of this university. This makes it a truly unique collection.

It is an honor and a great responsibility to house, preserve, and make available for study such a diverse collection.
