Introduction

The UFV 2024/2025 Institutional Report highlights the year’s key achievements. Highlights include a 79% employment rate among graduates, agreements with more than 220 international universities, 101 externally funded research projects, more than 100,000 hours of volunteer work by students, and the awarding of 9,562 scholarships and grants.

The Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV) presented the Institutional Report for the 2024–2025 Academic Year during the official opening ceremony of the academic year. The UFV Report reflects the institution’s commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and the well-rounded education of its students, consolidating its role as a leader in employability, internationalization, research, and social commitment—fundamental pillars of UFV’s educational mission.

Academic growth and educational offerings

UFV offers 47 undergraduate degrees and 36 dual degrees, as well as 17 university master’s degrees, 12 master’s degrees from Own University Degree expert courses, and 2 doctoral programs. The university community comprises 11,678 undergraduate students and 2,950 graduate students, along with more than 1,000 vocational training students and the 807 students at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, its prestigious culinary arts school located on the UFV campus in Madrid.

Employability and Industry Relations

The employment rate for UFV graduates stands at 79%, with a job placement rate of 93.7%, and 95% of graduates find employment within the first six months after completing their studies. During the academic year, more than 10,000 internship opportunities and 7,255 academic internships were arranged, thanks to collaboration with 13,404 companies and the signing of 11,521 active agreements.

Internationalization

UFV has agreements with more than 220 universities across 4 continents, with 333 outgoing students and 492 incoming students. Also noteworthy are 98 exchanges involving faculty and administrative and support staff (PAS), the university’s membership in the European ACE²-EU alliance, and its participation in 12 combined intensive programs (BIPs).

Scholarships and Study Aid

During this academic year, UFV awarded 9,562 scholarships and grants, meaning that 31% of enrolled students receive some form of financial aid. In addition, a special scholarship fund was established to support families affected by the DANA.

Research and Innovation

The university managed 101 externally funded research projects and 28 internal projects, in addition to organizing 30 international research stays in 13 countries. Scientific output continues to grow, with 505 publications indexed in Web of Science and 585 in Scopus.

Sustainability and Social Responsibility

UFV is strengthening its sustainability strategy through the UFV Sustainable plan, inspired by Laudato Si’ and aligned with the 2030 Agenda. During the academic year, 100,900 volunteer hours were logged, with the participation of more than 2,000 students and the collaboration of 157 institutions. In the environmental sphere, all purchased energy comes from renewable sources, and 23.3% of the carbon footprint has been offset.
