Mobility programs offer faculty and administrative staff the opportunity to gain academic and professional experience abroad. Beyond the professional sphere, they also provide an opportunity for personal growth and exposure to new perspectives.

Staff members will be able to participate in three types of international stays: short-term, long-term, and virtual.

Types of mobility

Objective

The goal of staff mobility from a higher education institution to a company is to enable participants to learn through the transfer of knowledge or skills and to acquire practical skills.

The goal of staff mobility from one higher education institution to another is to enable participants to learn from the experiences and best practices of the partner institution and to enhance the skills required for their current position.

Duration

The duration may be one a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 5 days, excluding travel days. Mobility may be for teaching/training purposes (PROF) or for training purposes (PROF/PAS). International mobility expressly excludes attendance at conferences, presentations, or lectures, as well as the submission of publications. Travel will be permitted through September 30, 2027.

Types

Job shadowing: Observation period at a company/institution/university. (PROF/PAS).

Best practices: an opportunity to connect with staff and faculty at various international universities. It allows students to explore different work styles, learn best practices, participate in specialized workshops, put their theoretical and language skills into practice, and, ultimately, discover new horizons both academically and professionally.

Training Mobility: Training offered by a company, institution, or university on various topics such as artificial intelligence, new methodologies, mental health, etc. Regarding language courses, only two applications per faculty will be accepted; applicants may not apply again if they have already taken a course in the previous two years; and no two applicants may attend on the same dates (regardless of which faculty or department they belong to).

Faculty Mobility: Teaching at a partner institution. In the case of teaching activities between higher education institutions in countries participating in the programme Erasmus program, both institutions must have signed an inter-institutional agreement. A minimum of 8 teaching hours will be provided during the stay. This includes participation in BIP programs and ACE2EU Alliance projects.

Registration

**NEXT APPLICATION PERIOD: 2026–2027**

First call for applications: October 19, 2026, through until the budget is exhausted.

Second call for applications: February 1, 2027, through the end of the budget

The application must be submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Internationalization (VRI) via this form, attaching your DNI/NIE, the teaching or training proposal, the host institution's information, the letter of acceptance or invitation, and the eligibility questionnaire signed by the bachelor's degree program director or the director of the relevant department.

Erasmus-funded mobility programs can only take place in Europe and at the universities and locations specified in the call for applications. Programs funded by UFV funds have no destination restrictions, although they are subject to budget and availability.

The application must be submitted at least two months before the start of the stay, along with all required documentation. If these requirements are not met, payment of the grant prior to the mobility period cannot be guaranteed.

Only one exchange is allowed per participant in the same academic year, with priority given to first-time participants. Spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. More than one exchange per person may be granted only if there are remaining spots or if participants withdraw.

The recipient is responsible for arranging transportation, lodging, meals, and any other matters related to the stay; these arrangements are not the responsibility of the academic departments or the VRI.

Finally, you must notify the People Development Department of your travel dates via the Success Factors platform well in advance.

Eligibility Questionnaire

Funding

For short-term mobility programs, funding will be determined based on the number of days, distance, and the category of the host institution’s country. All mobility programs will be governed by the following tables, which are divided into two categories: travel allowance and living expenses.

Travel

Contribution toward staff travel expenses based on the distance between their place of work and the location where the relevant activity takes place:

Between 10 and 99 km: 28 € per participant
Between 100 and 499 km: 211 € per participant
Between 500 and 1,999 km: 309 € per participant
Between 2,000 and 2,999 km: 395 € per participant
Between 3,000 and 3,999 km: 580 € per participant
Between 4,000 and 7,999 km: €1,188 per participant
Between 8,000 and 19,999 km: €1,735 per participant

Child Support

The amounts will depend on the destination country (the European Union has based them on each country's standard of living), with a maximum funding limit of 5 days.

Group A: 120 € per day Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden. Non-member countries: United Kingdom

Group B: 105 € per day Czech Republic, Cyprus, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Malta, and Portugal

Group C: 90 €/day North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey

For short-term mobility programs funded by UFV that take place outside the European Union, the maximum funding will be 1,500 euros.

Anáhuac Puebla University is now accepting applications for visiting professors for its upcoming summer session. Courses will be taught in Spanish and/or English.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain international experience—or continue building on it—through a long- programme ship shared with other faculty members. Financial terms: Anáhuac Puebla will cover housing and living expenses (see details in the call for applications). To cover transportation costs, faculty members may submit the corresponding application for a long- ship to the Office of the Vice President for Internationalization.
