You are four steps away from starting your Bachelor’s Degree

Register and complete the admission interview

Complete the registration form to begin your admission process. After registering, we will contact you to give you access to the Candidate Portal, where you must complete your application, upload the required documentation, and pay the admission test fee (€80).

After verifying your documentation and payment, we will schedule your admission interview. This can be conducted online or in person if you are in Madrid and prefer to attend on campus.

Important:

The interview fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Reserve your place

The Admissions Committee will notify you of the outcome by email approximately one week after the interview. If you are accepted, you will receive instructions on how to reserve your place. This guarantees your place until the end of the enrolment period.

Important

The reservation fee is separate from tuition fees and cannot be deducted from any other payment. It is payable only in the first academic year and will only be refunded if you provide official proof that you have failed your final secondary school examinations or have been denied a visa.

Complete your enrolment

Once you have reserved your place, the final step is to enrol.

Enrolment is completed through the Candidate Portal by uploading the required documentation according to your legal route of access to university (homologation, UNED accreditation, or partial credit recognition). The PCE examination is only required for international students applying for Medicine. The enrolment period opens in June and closes in September.

Important

To complete enrolment, you must have a Spanish bank account, as payments will be made by direct debit.

International students who, for administrative reasons beyond their control, require additional time may complete enrolment up to 30 October.

Scholarships and grants

If you wish to apply for a scholarship, you must first reserve your place. The scholarship application process is separate from admission and enrolment and can be managed through the Candidate Portal.

Academic guidance team

The University has a team of academic advisors who deliver guidance sessions and workshops in secondary schools and universities. If you would like us to visit your school, or if you are interested in organising a visit to our campus, please contact e.glezmesa@ufv.es.

Personalised career guidance service

Our individual career guidance session supports students as they make decisions about their professional future. The aim is to help each student gain a deeper understanding of their profile and reflect on their strengths, interests and aspirations.

We use the standardised EXPLORA assessment developed by Ediciones TEA, which provides detailed insight into each student’s skills, knowledge, abilities, values and interests. This is complemented by an activity workbook designed by UFV’s Guidance Department.

During the session, the advisor will review and interpret the results, offering structured feedback to support informed decision-making and address any questions. This initial session lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Students may then request a second session focused on specific Bachelor’s Degree programmes of interest. This part is led by degree advisors, who provide detailed information on modules, placements and career opportunities.

UFV for beginners

We understand that arriving in a new country or starting at a new university can feel challenging. UFV for Beginners is designed to make this transition smoother and more meaningful. From your first day on campus, you will feel supported while meeting students from different Bachelor’s Degrees through engaging cultural and interactive activities.

Duration: September to January
Number of sessions: 10
Schedule: Wednesdays, 10.00 am to 12.00 pm or 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm

Sessions are held weekly throughout September. From October onwards, meetings take place every two weeks. In December, there will be a special Christmas event, and the programme concludes with a closing ceremony in January.

What are the tuition fees?

How is the reservation payment made?

Payment will be made by bank card via POS terminal. During the process, it is important that when the student enters their mobile phone number, they include the international prefix, as the system sends a security confirmation message to the phone. This amount is separate from the tuition fee and cannot be deducted from any other payment. It will only be refunded in two cases: failure to pass high school or visa denial, in both cases documentation is required.

What are the requirements for enrollment?

It is essential to have a Spanish bank account. International Admissions will put students in contact with a specialist agent who can help them with this process.

Are there scholarships for international students?

At UFV, we offer the Academic Excellence Scholarship, which awards financial aid to students who have obtained an average grade of 8 or higher on their final Spanish university entrance exam (homologación, Credencial UNED). This scholarship can be applied for after being admitted and having formalized the reservation of a place, and it is applied to the remaining amount after formalizing the payment of tuition. International students must have sufficient funds to pay for their studies at UFV and live in Madrid, regardless of whether we can grant them recognition for their academic excellence. Unfortunately, we do not have financial aid for students who do not have legal residence in Spain.

Does the university offer accommodation options?

There is a university residence hall on the UFV campus with its own independent admission process. In addition, International Admissions will put students in touch with a specialised agent who can help them with this process.

When does the course start?

The only start date for the course is in September; it is not possible to start the course in January. All relevant information for students can be found at the following link.

Should I take a Spanish course if my level is B1?

All non-Spanish-speaking students whose Spanish level is B1 must take a compulsory course taught by UFV during their first year in order to reach level B2 by the end of the course. The approximate cost is €500, which will be charged to the bank account provided by the student at the time of enrollment.
