Our group studies the molecular mechanisms that control the activity of adult stem cells and tissue regeneration processes, using skin as an experimental model.
From a distinctly translational perspective, we investigate how reactive oxygen species (ROS) regulate skin homeostasis and regeneration, as well as the role of various naturally occurring compounds capable of enhancing these biological processes.
Our findings aim to generate new therapeutic solutions in regenerative medicine, skin aging, hair health, and the treatment of degenerative diseases, while also promoting knowledge transfer to the biotechnology sector.
