Our work focuses on understanding the mechanisms that regulate tumor promotion and invasion, with a particular emphasis on the cellular interactions that occur in the microenvironment of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
We investigate how different cell types—including keratinocytes, immune cells, and stromal cells—contribute to tumor progression and its response to signals from the surrounding environment.
Using cellular and animal models, we seek to identify new molecular targets and develop innovative therapeutic tools capable of modulating these interactions and halting tumor growth.
