On November 17, 2026, the University of Salamanca will host the first public presentation of the book dedicated to Francisco de Vitoria and the legacy of the School of Salamanca, at an event organized as an institutional press conference and aimed specifically at the media and journalists.
The event will feature confirmed appearances by writer Lorenzo Silva, the president of the University of Salamanca, and Daniel Sada, president of Francisco de Vitoria University (UFV).
The presentation will serve as the starting point for the various activities planned in connection with the book’s launch and will provide the public with an opportunity to learn about Francisco de Vitoria’s intellectual legacy, as well as to reflect on the extraordinary relevance of the ideas that emerged from the School of Salamanca.
The event is part of the activities commemorating the 5th Centennial and aims to help raise awareness of a tradition of thought that addressed fundamental issues regarding human dignity, justice, law, and relations among peoples—many of which remain central to contemporary debate.
