Makers UFV was created with the aim of promoting the university's Digital Manufacturing Laboratory and showcasing what can be developed within this space, which is a multidisciplinary place where projects can be developed by bringing together different disciplines, creating a cross-disciplinary movement among students.
This space allows us to prototype projects that solve real problems in society through additive manufacturing, using 3D printers, and subtractive manufacturing with CNC machines. We can also combine all this with electronics, allowing us to give all these devices a "life of their own."
We promote a space where creativity, peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, and personal motivation to create and innovate are paramount, promoting a "maker culture" inherited from the "Do It Yourself" movement.
