No, applying for grants, scholarships, and discounts is a separate process from other procedures you have to carry out at the university. Therefore, whether you are a new student or a returning student, you must adhere to the deadlines set by the Student Financial Aid Service.

If you are a new student enrolled in any of our degree programs, you must apply for your scholarship through the Candidate Portal. If you are already enrolled, you can apply through the University Portal.

This must be done within the established deadlines, entering your username and password and following the instructions provided.

You can apply for a scholarship, grant, or discount during one of the two periods established for the 2025-2026 academic year:

1st Call: May 5 to June 30, 2025 or

2nd Call: July 10 to 25, 2025

In exceptional cases, applications submitted after the deadline may be considered, provided they are duly justified. They must be submitted to the University Registry Department, for the attention of the Study Aid Service, using the official form and including all the required documentation.

The UFV scholarship committee is the body responsible for selecting scholarship recipients. It will ultimately assess the viability of the study and award these scholarships, where appropriate, once all applications submitted in a timely manner have been processed.

As a general rule, the principle of incompatibility between scholarships, grants, and discounts will apply.

For scholarships that require specific grades, final grades must be attached. For this reason, the application deadlines have been adjusted to match the most common grade release dates (Bachillerato, PAU, etc.). This will give you a more accurate idea of whether you are eligible to apply.

For scholarships that require academic performance, yes. If you start your university degree in September 2025, you must have completed your second year of high school and taken the PAU exam in June 2025.

Students from other countries who wish to study at UFV may apply for the Brilliant Academic Record Scholarship provided they meet the established academic requirements. In addition, they must submit official documentation certifying their admission to a Spanish university (Homologación de Bachillerato, Credencial UE o PAU por la UNED para estudios extranjeros). The documentation submitted for scholarship evaluation must be the same as that submitted for legal admission to the university.

• Type of scholarship, grant, or discount you are applying for (ten en cuenta que hay ayudas, como la Ayuda Económica UFV que requiere de un estudio más complejo y riguroso y ha de pasar por un Comité de Becas).

• That you have submitted all the necessary documentation (deberás tener en cuenta que, para determinada documentación dependemos de otros organismos externos: colegios, selectividad, Hacienda, etc.). Grants, scholarships, or discounts are generally applied to the cost of tuition, except for the opening of the academic record and the initial tuition payment. In the case of grants that apply differently, this is specified in the corresponding section of the website.

The Administration Department sends a letter to families informing them of the administrative rules. In it, you will see that the procedure indicates that in this case you will have to request a refund of the amount awarded by UFV from the Finance Department.

There are certain grants and scholarships that can be applied for every year of Bachelor's Degree the final year of the degree. Examples of these are UFV Financial Aid and scholarships for outstanding academic performance. For that final year, we offer a grant called "Crédito al Honor" (Honor Credit), which covers part of the tuition costs and, at the same time, requires the student to repay it. Yes, you can apply for scholarships from public bodies such as the General Scholarship from the Ministry of Education for university studies (Gobierno de Navarra y País Vasco para los estudiantes de esas Comunidades) or the Excellence Scholarship from the Community of Madrid. Compatibility may be total or partial and is determined by the public body offering the scholarship.
