Spanish for International Students

From August 25 to September 5, 2025, the intensive summer English course (4 ECTS) will be held at UFV. There are only 30 places available, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserve yours by sending your application with the attached documentation to idiomas@ufv.es.

Schedule: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Language and Communication: all levels from A1 to B2 (según MCER). Culture: art, gastronomy, festivals, traditions… 4 ECTS credits (sujeto a aceptación por tu universidad). 3 hours of class per day (2h de lengua y 1h de cultura), Monday to Friday (10:00h – 13:30h). 4 Included Visits: Walking Tour of Habsburg Madrid, Reina Sofía Museum, Prado Museum, and Walking Tour of Retiro Park. It is advisable that students who are going to take courses in Spanish have reached a B1 level (MCER) before coming to our University. To help them improve their language skills, international students can take a free four-month Spanish course twice a week.

Before starting the course, they must complete a placement test.

• First Semester: Spanish as a Foreign Language I

• First Semester: Spanish as a Foreign Language II

Level: Three levels. From A2 to B2 (según MCER) Duration: One semester. **Number of hours: ** 4 hours per week. ECTS: 6 ECTS Price: Free for exchange students. Schedule: Aligned with the rest of the Bachelor's Degree courses.

Designed for international students pursuing a full degree program at the university. It is specifically intended for students in Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy who have not yet attained a B2 level (MCER) in Spanish. It is recommended that they take a year-long Spanish course in order to reach the appropriate level to successfully complete their Bachelor's Degree.

Level: B1-B2 (según MCER). Duration: annual First Semester: from September 6 to December 12, 2021. Second Semester: from January 17 to April 30, 2022. Number of hours: 30 hours per semester. Price: €480 Schedule: Tuesdays from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.

Francisco de Vitoria University is an official DELE examination center. Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE) are official qualifications certifying proficiency and mastery of the Spanish language, awarded by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport.

Levels: A2 and B1 (según Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las lenguas). Familiarization with the exam structure (prueba, tareas, criterios de calificación, etc.). Development of strategies for successfully completing it. Practice and repetition of activities and exercises for the four skills:

• Reading Comprehension Test

• Listening Comprehension Test

• Written Expression and Interaction Test

• Oral Expression and Interaction Test

The course ends with a simulation of a complete test at the corresponding level.
