Al recoger el premio, Roger destacó que “this is an award in teaching communication in health. I would like emphasize here teaching, because all teaching produces a learning in values. Any learning in the use of diagnostic or therapeutic tools produces an ethical learning. And this is particularly true in our field. I have learned these years of practice and teaching that if we only teach communication skills to our residents and students or apply them in our clinical encounters, without a certain attitude, we become comedians and as such they see us. Only when we “give ourselves” to them genuinely we truly help them and we feel recognized. We have seen a lot of examples of this in this last tragic year”.
